Notepad - Simple TXT Editor App Reviews

I needed a simple text editing program for a particular purpose - writing html code. This used to be relatively easy with the other programs, but the latest inclinations of Apple to "nanny" the user experience have actually made it more cumbersome or impossible to accomplish. This app allows me to open, edit, and save a .htm document without error, just like I wanted. THANK YOU!

exactly what is needed for simple, quick, and efficient use. but needs a save-as option...

Exactly what I wanted, an alternative to textedit that allows me to save notes wherever I want them, rather than from a useless "recent" list. Also, no lagging when saving. Just a simple notepad.

Simplicity is perfect. If I drag a file into the window I would like it to open the file for editing, similar to Notepad on Windows.

Would be perfect if there was an option to have New Lines as Carriage Return + Line Feed. This would allow me to have Text Files my Colleagues running Windows could view. Add that and I would have something I could use.

Worked alright now it wont let me save doccuments

I lost a short story I wrote after I highlighted it and hit copy. It just went away! I was unable to get it back even though I had hit save. Too frustrated for words.

This app does not have a “save as” option. It only have a “save” option. I needed to save a file as .html but the app did not have the option to “save as.” Can you fix it so this app will have a “save as” file for the option to save files as .html, pdf, doc. and more

There is a problem when you create a text file in this app, save it and then open it in windows notepad, and that problem is that the Carriage Returns (New Lines) have been removed. To my recollection windows notepad products that are opened and changed in this app do not suffer the same problem. But at any rate, I was essentially looking for a product that would simple open and manage text files in a seamless and problem free way. So I see this CR/LF issue as a bug that probably needs resolution. After which point, I’d be happy to give the product five stars as this is the only problem I’ve found with it after months of usage. Can not turn off options, eg. Check Spelling as you type. Check mark not showing in those options, but you can click it. Next time, it’s active again.

I like this text editor tool.

I originally had this app on my computer and then my computer crashed. Now I have to pay for it. The only purpose I need this app for is the “Services” option when I right click highlighted text. It no longer does that. I no longer need the app. I would like my $0.99 back.

I can get the app up and running but I can’t see what I type in or pasted in. Bring up the Font Manager also does not help at all. Tried deleting the app & settings and reinstalled it but no change. Any one else having the issue? Posting it here since the link to support, e.g., http://notepad.kupon.bg, does not go any where. I liked the app a lot but that was when it was working.
